The Surface Solutions Group provides a fairly straightforward service.   We utilize a rather extensive product line  and customize our application processes to attack the task at hand.  Taking a problem area..and reducing the likelihood of slip/fall accidents. Our goal is to make slippery floors safer to walk on.

The Surface Solutions Group is a company based in Chapel Hill. Our goal is to make the floors in your bathrooms, kitchens and other areas safer (from slipping and falling) for you and your guests.  We offer a unique service:  Our process makes wet, slippery surfaces less slippery!  And we do it without significantly changing the appearance of the floor.

Recently, we introduced our service to William Anna, Director of Plant Services at the Cedars of Chapel Hill.   He has become familiar with the processes we use.  William has chosen our company to make the Clubhouse safer for all of the members.  We have treated the floors and showers of the men’s and women’s locker rooms as well as the rest rooms floors.

We are making this service available to all Cedars members at affordable prices.  Several members have already had their bathroom floors, showers and tubs treated by SSG, as well as their kitchen floors and patios and would be willing to show you the results.

Types of surfaces our products protect:

The Surface Solutions Group product line is flexible enough to handle a variety of surfaces, including foreign and domestic manufactured tiles; sealed or not, natural, honed or polished stone; and other high density surfaces typically used in wet environments such as smooth trawled sealed cement, fiberglass and vinyl flooring.

ADA/OSHA  Recommendations

Our product line works to make most surfaces much safer when they are wet.  The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) had set a recommended minimum Co-efficient of Friction (COF) (in conjunction with OSHA) for slip resistance recommendations…but they have not “officially” been adopted.   Typically,  the our processes creates a treated surface that far exceeds those ADA’s guidelines, while not significantly impacting the appearance of the treated surface.

Our service comes with a one-year to life-time warranty when using our cleaning products properly

and with annual testing to insure the continued efficacy of the slip resistant treatment.

Included in our product line is a product manufactured in the U.S.A. which is a bio-degradable formula comprised of safe chemicals that interact with hard glazed surfaces to slightly open millions of molecular pores to create a suction effect when wet.  The results are a high static COF walking surface, safe for all shoe bottoms or bare feet with little or no impact on the shine and luster of your flooring and surfaces.  Your home or business is a safer place AND it’s accomplished by utilizing a GREEN product.

Our success is based on a process of deep cleansing, custom product application.  The end results are what matters and our processes accomplish laying the foundation for a slip resistant surface that should last for many years, if maintained appropriately.
